The setup check
The same eye as a live production control room: we have run studios with six robotic cameras, a green screen and worldwide distribution. A stream is the same chain, smaller.
Mic placement and type, gain, processing (gate, compressor, EQ), room acoustics, background noise. Sound is 70 % of perceived quality.

Who looks at your setup
Patrick Oliveira spent three years running live production at the headquarters of a multinational: vMix, six PTZ cameras, green-screen studio, Yamaha mixer, worldwide distribution. Before that, twelve years designing and programming audiovisual and home-automation installations. Certified Dante Level 3 and AMX Programmer.
He streams too. He knows what it is to tweak a gate at 11 pm before going live, and to discover on the VOD that the mic was picking up the fan.
